Who Are We?

This website lists shows and services for Laughing Horse Comedy Ltd and Laughing Horse Festivals Ltd on tour in Auatralia.

To contact us about anything on this website, or for anything related to the comedy shows and events the best way to do this is email admin@laughinghorse.co.uk and that will get put through to the right person.

The people running things are Alex Petty (Director), Gemma Coles (General Admin), Susan Lily & Andrew Silverwood (Door Management), Paul Sneddon (co-producers) and Jenni Hammatt (head of logistics) - along with various others involved with specific venues and events.

What is the history?

Laughing Horse Comedy has many years of experience in running Live Comedy Venues in the UK. Our original venue opened in 1998 in the UK in Kingston, called "Peppermint Thursdays" - and this was followed by the first "Laughing Horse", at the "Black Horse" Pub in Richmond - and this is how we got out name!

Over the years we have promoted comedy and supplied performers for over 400 venues and companies, we quickly expanded across London and the UK in the early 2000s, started the new act awards and then gradually into our Festival business.

Laughing Horse started to produce shows and run festival venues  in Edinburgh in 2004, and this led to the comedy courses  and move into festival and comedy production - which led onto our work at The Brighton Fringe,  and then onto the Australian Festival circuite in Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth from 2010 - where we now produce an annual comedy tour.... pandemics permitting!
